The best part about working and getting grad gifts is that I now officially have my own money to spend how I’d like for pretty much the first time in my life. I don’t have to pay my parents back and use their cards. This feels pretty great. I’m not totally independent yet (if I’m buying food, I use their money whether they want me to or not), but I can get my own clothes and whatnot. I do feel like I should probably be making above minimum wage just because my job sucks. On Sunday, I had to clean out fourteen (14!!) stalls (on a normal day I do around 7 to 10), and then we had to climb into the big shipping container full of horse shit (not metaphorical) to dig out the bucket for our tractor, which is now broken. Keep in mind that it was almost 90 out and there were no clouds. I was so sore yesterday that I could barely move around the house.
