Last Day of Freedom

Today was my last day at the barn before it shuts down for the forseeable future. I got to ride Ollie today and yesterday, and a couple days ago too. He was a saint today. I wish we could have jumped around a bit, but I’m alright with what we did. I rode two of the lesson ponies this weekend too. Noel has always been one of my favorites. He’s old, but hasn’t slowed down at all. I trust him with my life, so whenever I ride him i pretty much sit there and he takes care of the rest. I don’t have to steer at all. Such a good old man. Chesney is a lot of work to ride sometimes, just because he’s a bit lazy. He’s also very well behaved, but I do have to actually steer and use my legs to keep him moving. We actually got going pretty well today, so I didn’t do a whole lot. I feel bad making the lesson ponies work hard when they do so much already.

This stay home order is not ideal. I want to be able to go do things. The online school stuff is probably going to be a mess. My AP classes (are we even going to take the exams?) pretty much require us to be in class. We’re not well equipped to make this switch.

I just want things to be normal again. I’m tired of constantly wondering what’s going to happen next. We don’t know about school or summer or anything. I hate this. I hate not knowing what I’m doing. It’s frustrating and uncomfortable.

Song of the day: Acrobats by Mt. Joy (released on wednesday, not my favorite but still good)
