I’m not really sure how we did it, but we actually managed to get second overall in AA between both rounds yesterday. We’re still probably not going to get bumped up to A, but it’s nice to not be fighting to avoid last place for once. Last night was super fun, too. I met a lot of new people and got I think 5 new people’s snapchats. I think that’s a record for me. We officially have 2 weeks until our next comp and 4 weeks until state (end of the season for us). That leaves us with three weeks of practices, a total of nine left. I keep oscillating between being excited to get it over with and being upset with how little time I have left. I’ve put so much time in, so it’s a little hard to see how close I am to being done for good. Now that it’s March, it’s really starting to feel like we’re getting somewhere. Not just in guard, but in general. It’s been lighter longer, and it’s been warm for a couple days now. I just need to get through these next two and a halfish months and I’m all done. I’m actually taking a break right now from doing housing stuff for Pitt.
I was going to go to the barn today, but I was so wiped out from yesterday that I ended up sleeping in. Ollie can wait an extra day, since I probably won’t ride on Tuesday anyway. He was a superstar yesterday in our lesson. We haven’t jumped in a looooong time since he’s been crazy and I don’t want to die, but he was nice and chill again, so we got to jump 2’3″ for the first time in forever. I felt great. Once summer hits and I can let him stay outside during the days, he’s going to be great. I’m going to flex so hard on little kids it’s going to be great. The best part of camps is showing off.
