Mt. Joy dropped two new songs yesterday, which was a nice free shot of serotonin on a pretty bad day. Strangers is my favorite of the two, but they’re both great songs. The album comes out in June, and the songs definitely are going to go well with a spring album. I’m a little tempted to get a Mt. Joy t-shirt, but we’ll see about it. I shouldn’t. I want to, though. I’m just excited to listen to music the whole way to Springfield this weekend.
I did end up being able to take my phys test, and I think I actually did pretty well. I’m a little worried to see my grade, but at this point, there’s no point in worrying about it. What I got is what I got. Hopefully, what I got is good.
Hockey stuff: Avs won and Nucks lost last night but I didn’t watch because of physics. I’m a little worried for the Canucks. With the Boeser injury and how inconsistent they are, they won’t make it past the first round of the playoffs if they make it at all. That’s (unfortunately) a very big if. Pens and Flyers play tonight. I don’t think the pens will win but the Flyers might. (Flyers play the Blue Jackets, good luck Mr. Durham!) The Penguins have been doing really well despite all their injuries, and I’ll never get over how much my team reminds me of a cockroach. You could drop a nuke on PPG Paints Arena and Mike Sullivan would still find a way to dress 20 skaters and beat the best teams in the league. Watching them is fun because you hear things like “Crosby enters the zone with [two guys you’ve never heard of who are probably made up]” and then they score 5 goals and get a shutout.
Song of the Day: Strangers by Mt. Joy
(update I wrote this earlier and wordpress wouldn’t let me post it
Penguins got shut out by the leafs (naturally, they’re just Like That), but the Flyers won (sorry Mr. Durham). Blues are still playing, but I have to pack so I won’t be watching this one.)
