The Return

Not to be dramatic or anything, but today is one of the best days I’ve had in a while. The half day/snow day maybe tomorrow thing is pretty nice, and I’m going to get food after school today (it’s the little things, you know? I missed eating Goodcents). We have one cupcake left at home, so with the half day I’m going to get to it first. I’m a little worried about performing on Friday without practicing today and potentially tomorrow, but honestly, I’ll be alright. The physics test tomorrow is also a little worrying, but I’m just vibing right now and that’s fine with me.

Now for the best part of today. Nolan Patrick is participating in full practice with the Flyers! He isn’t doing contact, but just being here is such a good sign. He’s probably not going to play any time soon. This is just a massive step and I’m so happy for him. He’s missed the entire season with migraines, and we’ve all missed him a lot. Some changes have been made, namely the tinted visor he has for practice today. Hopefully that will help, as well as the medicine. He’s been practicing alone or with skills coaches for a while now, but joining line rushes and working on skills with the team is such a good sign. I’ve missed him a lot since he’s been out. He was the first Flyer I considered my favorite, all the way back in 2017 when he was drafted. He’s clearly frustrated at being out. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to see your team playing without you. This whole thing has made my day amazing.
