There are 2 days left until the Penguins and Flyers come back from bye week (against each other, actually), so I’ll finally have something to listen to while I do homework again. The Avalanche start up again on Saturday, also against the flyers, though I’m not sure if I’ll have time for that one. I’d love to watch the Blue and Canucks, but the 9pm starts are a dealbreaker. I’ll probably use one post a week or so to just talk about hockey because my friends are tired of hearing all the stat/analytic stuff all the time. I’m not going to talk about last night’s Blues game because I went to sleep and didn’t watch it.
I’m looking for more ways to burn through some of my christmas money. Saving is great and all, but I’ve got more money than I know what to do with and it’s going to get spent before I leave anyway, so now seems like a great time. I found a really ugly turkey hat and I’m really holding myself back. I had to buy our show makeup for this season yesterday, and honestly, buying purple lipstick at Walgreens felt a little like a low point in my life. I probably should have just used a teammates because I have no need for purple lipstick, but it’s too late now. We’re all getting sick right about now, so it’s probably better that I’m using my own stuff.
My dumbass horse tried to kill me on Saturday. He gets crazy when it’s cold and that’s fine, but he was being such a baby about the jumps. We were jumping off the left lead, and he hates the right lead anyway so it should have been fine, but he would not land his left lead and then he’d get mad at me like it was my fault. When he went to fix his lead he’d take off for a few strides and hop around like an asshole. I didn’t fall, so I’d say I won
